[Introduction]

Shoplive is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the development, integration, and visualization of data pipelines across various sources. In this role, you'll not only contribute technically but also help shape the direction of our growing data team through operational leadership and strategic decision-making.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, efficient, and secure data pipelines, ensuring high data quality, and empowering the business with actionable insights.


[Key Responsibilities]

  • Design, develop, and operate data pipelines from multiple heterogeneous data sources
  • Manage and optimize data storage with a focus on quality, cost-efficiency, and security
  • Build data visualization and monitoring systems to support real-time and historical analysis
  • Design and enhance ETL/ELT processes to support business insights
  • Collaborate closely with analysts, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to solve data-driven challenges
  • Mentor junior data engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
  • Lead technical decision-making and contribute to team direction and prioritization


[Qualifications]

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Strong SQL skills and experience operating RDBMS
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Hands-on experience with data warehouse solutions like BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
  • Experience using data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau
  • Solid understanding of data pipeline architecture and large-scale data processing
